Cool The Burn! 5 Skincare Hacks To Beat The Heatwave
Yes, summer heat waves can be nasty, especially for your skin! The dripping sweat, scorching heat, and sun-beaten skin; the prolonged heat can transform your glow into an irritable turmoil. When your everyday skincare ritual feels sort of ineffective, it is time to reset things. Beating the sun without piling on beauty products is possible. Turn to nature and retain your glow!
These skin tricks are not just effective, they are simple, organic, and most essentially suited for unbearable summer!
The Clay Mist
Move over the regular face mists and adopt this unheard alternative! Mix a tablespoon of Multani mitti or fuller's earth or kaolin clay with 100ml of water. Fill the spray bottle with this incredible mixture and shake well before use.
The clay-made mist cools your face soaks up excess oil and tightens pores. Ideal for oily or acne-prone skin; spritz it for resetting your skin, especially during midday!
Cucumber Cleanse
The frozen slush instantly reduces puffiness, refreshes tired skin, and hydrates deeply-while aloe soothes any signs of sunburn. Wipe off the residue with a soft cotton cloth and feel the instant chill.
The chilled slush is super effective for reducing puffiness and refreshing dull and damaged skin. Aloe vera with its soothing properties, takes away the sunburn patches. Wipe the residues with a soft cotton cloth and experience the chill!
Rice Water Tonic
Rice water therapy is not applicable only to hair. Use it as a tonic for your face and see the difference. Soak around half a cup of rice in water overnight. Strain the water in the morning and allow it to refrigerate. Dip a cotton pad into this chilled liquid and give a gentle massage to your face for around 5-10 minutes.
The amino acid-enriched rice water is responsible for reducing redness, restoring glow, and refreshing skin which is overbeaten by sun and pollution!
Ghee Lip Mask
Your lips can go into a lifeless zone during a heatwave exposure and dry winds can lead to pigmentation and flakiness. To tame this, use a grandma-approved trick with a twist. Apply pure ghee on the lips, preferably at night, and press a rice paper or tissue over it to create a lip film.
This interesting hack locks in the required nourishing goodness of ghee, and allows it to heal the pigmentation and cracks overnight. The result is smooth, plump, and naturally radiant lips. You won't need a lip balm later!
Cold Leaf Compress
Skip the heaty part and embrace the coolness! Boil a few basil and mint leaves, strain the brew, and allow it to chill in the fridge. Soak a soft cotton or muslin cloth in the cold liquid and place it on your face for about 10-15 minutes.
Basil is equipped with antibacterial properties whereas mint offers cooling effects. The blend of the same is super effective in calming inflammation, minimizing sun-exposed breakouts, and tightening the pores. It is similar to pampering your skin with a DIY herbal spa!
