Have a healthy and gorgeous skin all through summer with these easy tips, check out to know more.
Summers aren't as harsh on your skin as winters are; but this season comes with its own set of skin problems. If you want to know how to get healthy skin during summer, continue reading.
Some of the common skin issues faced by women during the summer seasons are - excessively oily skin, acne, and tanning of the skin. But it doesn't mean you don't step out of the house during daytime!

Here are 10 Dos and Don'ts that will make your skin healthy and gorgeous all summer long. Take a look at these effective tips to have a healthy skin during Summer.
Dos

1. Moisturise Your Skin Even When You Aren’t Going Out
Right after a bath, apply a light cream on your face and body even if you aren't going out. It should be of around SPF 15.

2. Drink Plenty Of Water
Water is a transporter of toxins and helps flush them out of the body. It also reduces oil production by the sebaceous glands of the body. Oil is produced when the skin is dry. Since water is a moisturiser, it hydrates the skin cells, limiting the oil production.

3. Exfoliate Your Skin For Not More Than Twice A Week
People generally have a perception that exfoliating skin every day during the summers can stop excess oil production and acne. If you use a scrub on your face every day, it will harm the skin cells and won't let the production of new cells. Exfoliating twice a week is perfect, as it gives enough time for the regeneration of cells.

4. Homemade Scrubs Are The Best
Homemade scrubs are inexpensive and are 100% organic. Mix equal portions of salt and sugar in one teaspoon of honey and gently rub it on your hands and legs. Do this once a week right before you take a bath.

5. The Right Way To Use A Sunscreen
Even a good-quality sunscreen wears off in two hours. Reapplying sunscreen every two hours once when you are out of your home is the best way to not get tanned.
Don'ts

1. Don’t Take Too Many Baths In One Day
Since it is summer time, your body tends to get very sticky and smelly, wanting you to take bath at least 2 to 3 times a day. Doing that will not only harm your skin, but also leave it dry. Instead, drink plenty of water.

2. Don’t Use Heavy Moisturisers Or Sunscreens
Keep it light in the summers. Heavy creams can create a barrier on your skin and won't let the heat and toxins out of the body. This can lead to increase in body temperature and feelings of discomfort.

3. Avoid Massaging Your Face In The Summers
Once a month is fine, as it relaxes the face muscles and stimulates circulation, but doing it every 10-15 days can irritate the skin, cause eczema and lead to an increased acne production.

4. Beauty Drinks Aren’t Going To Nourish Your Skin
Beauty drinks contain nothing but fruits and vegetables. Consuming it in its whole form is much more beneficial. During this season, also stack on some fish, as it is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids that lower body temperature.

5. Don’t Use Store-bought Lip Balms To Nourish Your Lips
If you don't have time to make a lip balm at home, just mix some ghee with honey and keep it in the refrigerator. Apply it twice or thrice in a day for plump and moisturised lips.
