Lunar Eclipse In September 2024: These Three Zodiac Signs May Have Negative Impact
According to ancient texts of Hinduism, during the churning of the ocean for nectar or Samudra Manthan, the deities Surya (Sun) and Chandra (Moon) recognized Swarbhanu, a demon.
They informed Lord Vishnu, who then decapitated Swarbhanu with his Sudarshan Chakra after he had already consumed some nectar. Since then, Swarbhanu, now known as Rahu and Ketu, has viewed the Sun and Moon as his enemies.

As per the Vedic calendar, Bhadrapada Purnima falls on September 18, 2024, when the second and last lunar eclipse of the year will take place.
As per Sanatan scriptures, Rahu and Ketu's influence increases during eclipses, potentially negatively affecting both the mental and physical health of individuals. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid eating and performing auspicious activities during the eclipse.
Lunar Eclipse 2024: Negative Effects On Zodiac Signs
Astrologers warn that although this lunar eclipse won't be visible in India, its influence will still impact all zodiac signs. Among them, three signs are advised to remain particularly cautious.
Cancer: 21 June - 22 July
The ruler of Cancer is the Moon, who is worshipped in the form of Lord Shiva. Rahu and Ketu view the Moon as their enemy. As such, Cancerians need to be extra cautious during the eclipse. Avoid any auspicious activities and refrain from consuming heavy foods. Do not harm anyone, and chant Lord Shiva's mantra to reduce the malefic effects of Rahu and Ketu.
Leo: 23 July - 22 August
The Sun, the ruler of Leo, is worshipped in the form of Lord Vishnu. Leos are advised to remain alert during the eclipse. Avoid arguments and drive carefully. Keep away from feelings of resentment and show respect to your elders. On Bhadrapada Purnima, refrain from undertaking any auspicious work. After the eclipse, bathe, meditate, perform the Satyanarayan Puja, and give donations.
Virgo: 23 August - 22 September
Ketu is currently transiting through Virgo and will remain there until May 18, 2024. Additionally, the Sun will transit into Virgo on September 17, just before the eclipse. Due to the enmity between the Sun and Rahu-Ketu, Virgos need to be especially careful. Avoid performing any auspicious work or lending money during this period. Long-distance travel should also be avoided. For protection, chant the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra.
