Also, you need to ensure that the churni or dupatta that is placed on the altar is of red or yellow colour and not blue or black. You need to clean the area properly before placing the idols, add some flower petals under the post, akshat, and then install the idols on top of it.

2. Wrong Direction Of Idol Of Deities
Keeping the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha in the wrong direction can work against you and therefore, you need to keep in mind that the idols are only installed on the right side of Ganpati. Also, Goddess Lakshmi's idol should portray the deity sitting on a lotus in a blessing posture. Not doing this can create a financial loss in your life.

3. Not Making Rangoli On Diwali
On Diwali, Rangoli is made to ensure Goddess Lakshmi arrives in the house and if you don't then there is said to be financial loss. While decorating the house, you can make a small rangoli and use a lamp in it to make it before. This is believed to please Goddess Lakshmi.

4. Do not remove idols immediately after Diwali worship
Do not remove the idols of the deities immediately after Diwali Puja is completed. Even if you have a habit of cleaning the temple or puja area of your home immediately after pooja, you need to keep in mind that it will scare Goddess Lakshmi and lead to negative consequences.

5. Using Wrong Puja Samagri On Diwali Puja
During Diwali, you should ensure that no wrong puja ingredients are added to the Puja because it makes Goddess Lakshmi very angry and as a result, problems can begin in the house. Also, puja is not considered successful due to this. Hence, broken objects like broken utensils, and broken idols should never be used, and always keep the kalash fresh and decorated with mango leaves and wrap a kalva in it. Also, the face of the coconut should be towards the front. Further, you can keep a coin in the urn.
