We have several beliefs which we follow in our day to day life, without wondering why these are done and what are the benefits.

It may be a belief, but a person should do any intended work by checking the days that are meant for doing it. For example, we do not consume meat on the festival days.

The tamasic vibrations prevalent in the air would destroy the sanctity of a festival. Similarly, we have yet so many other beliefs that we follow staunchly.

The day to clean the house: Cleaning the house every day is a must. But not failing to clean the house on Saturdays and Sundays yields very positive results. Thursday is a prohibited day for spring cleaning It does not augur well for wealth and prosperity.

Apply oil to the hair on these days: it is best to oil your hair on Mondays and Wednesdays. Do not apply oil on these days: The worst day to oil your hair is on Thursdays and Fridays as it will weaken your Jupiter and Venus.

Cut your hair on these days: Sunday and Mondays are the best days to consider cutting the hair. Cutting hair on Tuesdays and Saturdays cause health afflictions. Cutting the hair on Thursdays results in loss of money, reduces the longevity and causes premature death.

Cut your nails on these days: Nails can be cut on Mondays as this day is auspicious for nail cutting. Avoid cutting them on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Planets will weaken and losses of several kinds are expected.

Buy household items on these days: Do not buy steel vessels, sharp objects, and household items on Tuesdays. When to buy household items: Buy a new vehicle, borrow money or lend money to someone as it is auspicious.

Do Not Wash Your Hair On These Days: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays are forbidden for hair wash especially for women as their brothers may land into some sort of a trouble.

Worship Goddess Lakshmi On This Day: the best day to worship Lakshmi is on a Friday. Day prohibited for Lakshmi puja is Thursday. If you insist on doing puja to her on this day, then do Lakshmi Narayana puja together.

Sweep the house and take out the garbage: This should be done during the day time. Doing it in the night or after dusk brings misfortune.Wash clothes on any day except Thursday. It creates a karmic spell.
